Public services have recently met an old mummy of millennia prior to the Inca Empire.
The reinforcements excited the trenches The Peruvian capital Lima earlier in June when they came across the remains.
The well -preserved mummy dates back 1,000 years, said experts – and was found just 20 inches under the ground.

The mummy probably goes back to the culture of Chancay, which existed in Peru from 1000 to 1470 AD
Jose Aliaga, archaeologist of the public service company Cálidda, told the Associated Press that the burial was undoubtedly prehispanic.

“It is very common to find archaeological remains on the Peruvian coast, including Lima, mainly funeral elements: tombs, burials and, among these, mummified individuals.”
“We have found leftovers and evidence that there could be a prehispanic burial,” said Aliaga.
Lima, which houses 10 million people, has been inhabited by humans for thousands of years.

The city is located in a valley irrigated by three rivers nourished in Andes, which made it habitable for ancient civilizations.

Pieter Van Dalen, dean of the college of archaeologists in Peru, told AP that the meeting of remains was not uncommon in Lima.
The city alone has 400 Archaeological sites.
“It is very common to find archaeological remains on the Peruvian coast, including Lima, mainly funeral elements: tombs, burials and, among these, mummified individuals,” noted the expert.

Van Dalen, who was not involved in the discovery, said that many Peruvian mummies were naturally mummified in desert areas, where their skin is dehydrated by heat.
Some Peruvian mummies are generally found in a sitting position with hands covering their faces.

Mummies are very interesting for archaeologists around the world, and many are discovered and studied each year.

Researchers also conducted a recent study on a 18th century mummy in Austria, noting that it was well preserved from a Unusual embalming method.
