There is always room to improve your game, and there are a lot of additional tools that can help you make the best espresso possible. These are all tools you would use Before The infusion, preparing the terrain for perfect extraction.
Couber Atmos for coffee beans ($ 40):: An empty cartridge is a great way to store your coffee beans. By leaving the room with all the air whenever you close, the compatriot Atmos slows down the degradation of all these tasty oils and chemical compounds inside your freshly roasted beans.
Burr Oxo Conical Grinder ($ 100):: This is one of our best choices in our Best coffee grin guideAnd it’s a good choice for the espresso. Espresso requires a fine and consistent version, as you can easily get out of a crusher. Just make sure you enter it and make a scan on your lands from time to time – maintenance that the Oxo makes it easy, with a beans that separates without any lines.
Portafilter without background ($ 50):: Nothing will improve your experience of looking at Espresso Brew as a bottomless portafilter. Not because it will make your coffee better; it will You Better by being aware of your mistakes and inconsistencies. The bottomless portafilters are capricious, and when your version is turned off or you have over-cross your land, the portfilter without bottom allows you to see that in the way the espresso covers the bottom of the filter and pours into the cup. Make sure to recheck the circumference on the group’s head of your espresso machine, however (the Place du Filter attached). There are a number of standard sizes, so you should make sure you order the right one. The most common are 53 mm and 58 mm, and almost every bottomless portafilter is available in each of these sizes.
Crema Distributor and Tamp ($ 39):: Once you have put your land in your portafilter, the next step is to give them a good, even to stamp. You want to use about 30 to 40 pounds of pressure, and although you can use a scale to determine exactly what it looks like, I find that it is better to press with the upper body, then extract a blow and see how it went. If it’s too bitter, you have buffered too much; If it’s too aqueous, you don’t have a strong enough buffer. A distributor (also called Levelleur) facilitates a uniform surface for you, and it has a stamp on one side and a distributor on the other so that you can level your beans, then return this tool and give it a good stamp. Just make sure you get one that corresponds to the circumference of your machine portafilter!
SHOT DURALLEX PICARDIE gerches, set of six ($ 20):: These are my favorite shooting glasses in general, but they are also superb espresso shooting glasses – a little and narrow enough to allow a wonderfully airy cream to form on top, and in tempered glass so that they can resist heat. They are also perfect for serving smaller drinks like macchiatos – an espresso plan with a spoonful of foam on top.
