More than 500 people were arrested by police in the Champions League final celebrations in France, and two people were reported dead and 192 injured, the Interior Ministry announced on Sunday.
Wild celebrations broke out through the French capital and beyond Saturday evening after Paris St Germain crushed the Italian opponents of Inter Milan to win the Champions League for the first time, although skirmishes with the police then threatened to spoil the party.
The early evaluation of the Ministry of the Interior from Sunday morning was that 559 people had been arrested, including 491 in Paris, which led 320 people to be placed in police custody, 254 in Paris.
On the Champs Elysées, abstams have been broken and projectiles launched the riot police, which pulled tear gas and water cannons to push the crowds in full swing while thousands of supporters descended on the boulevard bordered by shop.
On Sunday, the Interior Ministry reported hundreds of fires on Sunday, including more than 200 burned vehicles. Some 22 members of the security forces and seven firefighters were injured.
