28 Years Later’s Slyest Easter Egg Pulls A Fast One On Horror Fans

This article contains spoilers “28 years later”.

When the first “28 years later” trailer dropped – you know, Taylor Holmes’ Rudyard Kipling’s poem “Boots” haunted handout – There was a lot of speculation about the trailer and what it can mean to the movie itself. Given that “28 years later” is a film that arrives 23 years after the original movie “28 days later” and 18 years after the first sequel “28 weeks later”, in 2007 was already a lot theoretical. Perhaps the biggest rumors surrounded Particularly difficult looking infected creature blinks in a trailerwho is a passing similarity (as much as clearly a zombie thing) for actress Cillian Murphy, who played heroic survivor Jim “28 days later”. Concerned fans stemmed the opportunity, so much that an actor who really describes the creature, Angus Neill, took the press to a rumor to break up.

The “infected Jim” theory seems to be a simple fan by -product that enters the franchise brain case and see connections that were never meant to be there. And yet, after watching the real movie, it seems that director Danny Boyle and author Alex Garland really play the Knowing Game Spot the Easter egg for this sequel, especially when Jim’s character is. Twisted all the time “28 years later”, “ There are a few bits and songs that remember Murphy’s Jim, and the man who was infected by the Neill could be considered a part of this thread. It all culminates in the end of the film’s cliff, which not only pulls a quick horror fans, but seems to show that Boyle and Garland may use Jim as a fascinating part of the growing mythology of the series.

The story of several jams

“28 years later” the opening period takes place in the first days of the Scotland The onset of Rage virus in 2002. A young boy named Jimmy (Rocco Haynes) is forced to defend survival alone as his mother and preacher dad surrendered to infected people. We were not originally told where that boy ended up when the movie jumps on time, 28 years later, but there is a feeling that Jamie (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), the father of the film’s protagonist Spike (Alfie Williams), may be the same son. After all, the names are similar enough, and it is possible that he may have grown and simply wanted to call a variation in his old name. The isolated island community where he lives also seems to be a strong religious bent to it, so it acts as additional evidence.

Things are more mixed as Jamie and Spike go to the mainland for hunting. The location or two, whose father and son passes, appear to be the name “Jimmy” written in it, and the couple collides with an abandoned house with an infected man tied up and hang up with the name “Jim”, which is carved in his chest. Although the opening episode clearly reveals that a boy named Jimmy is not the same person as Murphy’s Jim’s first movie, and that his adult colleague appears at some point, these tips show that maybe Murphyn’s Jim may still be there somewhere lifting ruckus.

All of this will be destroyed “28 years later” in the last moments, which introduces the Jack O’Connell version of the Jimmy adults as he and his cult-infected hunters’ gang save Spike from a certain death. It is a bait and exchange for a number of reasons: it is clear that Taylor-Johnson’s Jamie is not the same person as the boy in the opening order and that O’Connell’s character is, as well as the Gooses fans of the series (or just hoped) that Murphy’s Jim might come again.

Jim’s Spectre passes ’28 years later ‘

Despite the fact that “28 years later” ends with the establishment of a new Jimmy character (we are going to see more in the follow-up of the director Nia Dacosta “28 years later: Bone Temple”, “ The film may not be faded by Murphy’s Jim’s theaters next January) at some point. On the contrary, it can do the opposite; If we include Jamie, it means that we have at least three jams in a blend in this alternative -infected universe. This recurrence can simply be a wreath and boyle laughing, throwing a number of similar named men into similar plights and seeing the differences between each.

Once again, there may be something deeper at work here. According to the New Testament, St. Jacob’s Great was the first of the martyr’s apostles, and considering the heavy religious themes in the “28” seague, I wouldn’t put it past the filmmakers to make such a reference lightly. “28 days later,” Jim becomes from a mere bicycle truck into a kind of an angel, a change that Selena (Naomie Harris) commented literally, thinking that she was infected when she is not. This idea of the Apocalypse of the Rage virus (which is just counted in the United Kingdom and not in the rest of the world must be pointed out) that it is a catalyst for converting ordinary people into mythical characters “28 years later” that Dr. Kelson (Ralph Fiennes) was spoken of as Colonel. A fashion of his cult, dressed in zombie hunters, both Teletubbie (a program he watched before the onset) and the rapporteur Jimmy Savile, who was revealed to be postal in the series in 2012.

In this environment, it is quite possible that Murphyn Jim has also raised (alone or through his influence) to the level of a mythical character who is a man who almost alone took away the regiment and infection of the entire fraudulent soldiers. Although Murphy is just a producer “28 years later” and does not appear, it seems that plans are and Jim’s works to make some kind of return in the future. If and when this happens, I wouldn’t be surprised if we get a fight for jams or something. What happens, I don’t think that Boyle, Garland, Daco and other filmmakers deny us Jim too much longer.
