Two members of the K-POP BTS power have completed their compulsory military serviceprovoking frenzy of fans and anticipation for their return.
RM and V welcomed fans with greetings and saxophone performance after being released on Tuesday. V asked fans to “wait a little longer” for BTS to meet.
The seven members should finish their military service by the end of this month and their Hybe agency had referred to a meeting. They took a break in 2022 at the height of their world famous.
Hundreds of fans, some who stole abroad, gathered in front of the Hybi siege in the center of Seoul to celebrate the return of RM and V on Tuesday.
Many of them were dressed in purple signature color, and wore large banners and photographs of the two K-Pop idols.
South Korea requires that all valid men aged 18 to 28 are used for about two years in the army so that the country can be ready to fight the north.
On Tuesday, Hybe posted a banner saying “We are back”, as well as the official logos of BTS and the army – acronym of the group of fans of the group, which means adorable representative MC for Youth – on its building.
“It’s incredible. Being here in Seoul, to see the place where BTS grew up and started singing and dancing. It’s incredible,” said Janya, who stole from the United Kingdom, in Korea Herald.
“I mean RM and V that you are a massive inspiration, and I love you so much!” said the 28 -year -old.
“It has been very long without you. I’m so happy that you’re back and finally free to do what you want to do,” said Ivory from Australia.
Hannah Chung, who lives in London, told the AFP news agency that she had planned her trip two years ago “because I knew that the members will be released by then”.
It counts on a chance to see the group at the annual BTS Festa, a celebration of the group’s beginnings, which will take place on Friday.
Earlier when they released in Chuncheon, RM thanked fans for waiting for them to perform their national functions.
“Now I’m ready to hit the ground again as BTS RM. Thank you to everyone who waited and took care of us,” he said.
V said the military mandate was “time for me to reset physically and mentally”.
“I really want to run in the army as soon as possible. Thank you for waiting for us during our military service,” he said.
The September made its debut in 2013, but it was not until 2017, when a very successful American tour propelled its mixture of pop, hip -hop and R&B – mainly in Korean – on the world stage.
Since then, they have become the most distributed group on Spotify, the first K-Pop act to be at the top of the United States table and several display tables, and one of the most rewarded groups in history.
The group name is short for Bangtan Boys, or “Bulletproof Boy Scouts” in Korean.
BTS has actively pleaded for the problems of young people, in particular through a mental health initiative with UNICEF.
He also addressed the United Nations General Assembly and met with former American president Joe Biden to discuss the increase in anti-Asian hatred crimes.
The group had previously won a postponement – while in 2020, the country’s parliament adopted a bill allowing them to delay their functions until the age of 30.
In 2022, the oldest member of the group, Jin, enlisted, and the others followed suit.
