Iran will not participate in the sixth cycle of nuclear negotiations with the United States scheduled for this weekend, Iranian state television announced on Friday.
US President Donald Trump Earlier Friday, Tehran to conclude a nuclear agreement “before it remains only” a few hours after Israel launched a wave of air strikes against Iran.
The Jewish state claims that its offensive has targeted the Tehran nuclear program. Israeli close Ally and the Washington weapons supplier says he was informed of hostilities but did not participate.
The Iranian media reported that the air strikes had struck Tehran and Natanz, which houses a key nuclear installation. Friday morning, the International Atomic Energy Agency said that the Iranian nuclear site of Isfahan has not been affected, and “no increase in radiation levels was observed on the Natanz site”.
“I gave Iran a chance after the chance to conclude an agreement,” Trump said on his social networks platform of truth.
He added that he had warned Tehran that “the United States made the best and deadliest military equipment in the world, and that Israel has a lot, with much more to come – and they know how to use it”.
The commander -in -chief of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard (IRGC), Hossein Salam, was killed during the assault, reported the Iranian state media. The Israeli Defense Ministry said most of the best IRGC brass died during the attack. CNBC could not independently verify this report.
The circumstances “will only get worse”, but other blood efforts could still be prevented, said Trump. “Iran must conclude an agreement, before it left, and save what was once known as the Iranian Empire.”
The nuclear agreement is at stake
Trump withdrew the United States from the first joint complex action plan from the nuclear agreement during his first presidential mandate, imposing a series of broad and debilitating economic sanctions against Tehran at the time.
The American president has been firm to continue a new agreement on the Iranian nuclear program since his return to the White House, stressing that he favored an agreement. Negotiations between the United States and Iran have not yet borne fruit on this count, however, Tehran accusing Washington of not respecting Iran’s law of enriching uranium for what it says to be peaceful ends.
A new round of American-nuclear-Iranian nuclear transaction negotiations was scheduled for Sunday in Oman. Iranian officials were mentioned by the state media saying that they will not participate.
Other world leaders have largely exhorted the restraint While Iran and Israel sail in the conflict, in the midst of Tehran’s commitment to retaliate.
The markets are currently looking at whether the hostilities revived between the archinizations of Iran and Israel, which has simmered since direct fire was exchanged for the last time in 2024, spit the wider region of the Middle East rich in oil.
