Other intelligent locks to consider
Footprint in Ultraloq Boulon for $ 160:: I have now tested three different intelligent locks in a year and a half, and although I think that the company offers excellent equipment for money, just a few software quirks that put these locks a step below our best choices. I started with the Bolt fingerprint, which was the most reliable of all ultraloq intelligent locks so far. If you have a standard door with a drilling hole for the dead bolt, it will be quick to install (Ultraloq has a thick door kit). I first had several problems for the lock to connect to my Wi-Fi, but after several attempts and a few words of choice, it connected. I haven’t had any connectivity problems since. The application is not the prettiest, but it is functional. You can add several user profiles, unlock remotely, get notifications when the doors are unlocked, share codes and save fingerprints. There is even an automatic function when you head towards the door, but I found it a little incoherent and I let it turn off. The fingerprint sensor is the highest point after all. You should get used to placing your finger on the sensor in a specific way, and after doing this several times, I have now obtained it so that I almost always unlock the first try. It comes with a door sensor, so when the door is closed, it locks automatically (you can deactivate this if you wish). The next lock that I tested was the Digital imprint with Ultraloq Boulon with Wi-Fi and Homekit. This one did a better work of connection to the Wi-Fi network of my house via the U-Home application and was even quick to add to my Google house. Unfortunately, after several months of flawless performance, he once decided to start rejecting my fingerprint. The problem? When I put my fingerprint on the scanner, he denied it, then blocked all other unlocking methods, with the exception of the application (or the physical key included). It was so boring that I just kept using a digital code with the keyboard. Finally, I recently went to Bolt the fingerprints with the materialAnd let’s just say that I always diagnose problems with the company. Yale provides Lock 2 Touch for $ 280:: I have been testing this lock for a few weeks in tandem with the security system of ADT and Google Home. Unlike the other locks of this guide, I did not install it – an ADT Tech has done so, and the installation can be included in an ADT security package like the one I tested. For the lock itself, it worked well. It is a complete replacement of bolt more, and came with a single key, and has both a keyboard and fingerprint reader for the input options. The fingerprint reader is fast and efficient, and my husband says that the keyboard has been easy to use (you activate the keyboard by touching the Yale button, but if your finger is saved on the application, it is also the button of the fingerprint reader). Instead of using the Yale application, I mainly control this application with the ADT +application, but there are versions of this lock that do not use or require ADT service. I want me to be able to adjust it over the 10 minutes, rather than three, but it is the longest option that the ADT + application gives me to define it. I can also partially control it in the Google Home application, but only to lock it and unlock it, not to dive into detailed settings such as passing codes and automatic locking times.
Yale Ensure the locking of the touch screen lever for $ 230:: I tested this lever door handle without Diadbolt with its elegant keyboard for a month at the door of my house from the inside of my garage. Unfortunately, once installed, the lock did not work on my door, even if it was the right size and placement.
