Of the 242 people on board Air India Flight AI171 On Thursday, when the plane crashed in Ahmedabad, a few moments after takeoff, only one would have survived. “Everything happened before my eyes. I don’t believe (I know) how I survived,” said Ramesh, 40, from her hospital bed on Friday. “For a while, I thought I was also going to die. His brother was sitting right next to him on the flight, Ajay Valgi told BBC News the cousin, after saying Ramesh on the phone. The aisles and those of the brother are unknown.
“After takeoff, in less than a minute, he felt like the plane stopped (in air) for 5 to 10 seconds,” said Ramesh. “The green and white lights (cabin) activated in the flight. I could feel the engine push increase to climb, but it crashed with speed in the (building).”
Once he realized what had happened, he said he had tried to unclog his seat and go out. The local media that spoke with him said he had a ticket for the flight showing that he was sitting at 11A, which also confirmed the police. It was just by an exit exit door.

“I could see that there was space outside the plane, so when my door broke, I tried to escape in a little space and I did it,” he said. “On the other side was the wall of the building, so no one could have escaped. … I don’t know how I managed to escape.”
