Microsoft briefly transported users to 2007 this week when the company wrongly exchanged Windows 11 familiar start -up chime with Son SOOT OF WINDOWS iconic Vista.
The mixture appeared in a recent version of Windows 11 initiate overview in the DEV channel. Users who restarted their systems noticed that instead of the modern Windows 11 tone, they were greeted by the distinct (and now nostalgic) sound.
Microsoft has since recognized the problemThe appellant an involuntary change and confirming that it will be corrected in a next update.
“The flight of this week is delivered with a delicious explosion of the past and will play the Windows Vista boot sound instead of the Windows 11 starting sound,” wrote the Windows Insider team in their Liberation notes For the last construction of development channels.
Although the switch is accidental, the brief return of the Vista audio signal triggered curiosity and online nostalgia, some users even preferring retro flair. But for the moment, it seems that the return of Vista is limited to this brief cameo, because the usual start -up sound of Windows 11 will return shortly.
