Tracy Morgan Leaves Knicks Game in Wheelchair After Medical Emergency
Tracy Morgan has suffered a health scare while attending a New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden.
The actor, 56, was seen being wheeled out of the New York City arena on Monday, March 17, according to footage posted online. Morgan covered his face with a towel as the Garden’s staff surrounded him. When he briefly removed the towel, there was blood visible.
“Tracy Morgan getting wheeled out from courtside at MSG .. bleeding from nose .. could barely stand up … hope he’s ok,” a fan posted via X and Monday.
Following the incident, the Knicks’ winning game against the Miami Heat was delayed for about 10 minutes.
“We hope Tracy feels better soon and look forward to seeing him back courtside,” a Madison Square Garden representative told People in a statement Monday.
Us Weekly has reached out to Morgan’s rep for comment.

Morgan has suffered several health scares over the years. The 30 Rock star was diagnosed with diabetes in 1996, and he eventually received a kidney transplant in 2010.
In August 2023, he appeared on the Today show and discussed using Ozempic, a drug intended for patients with type 2 diabetes that is also used to accelerate weight loss. “It cuts my appetite in half,” the comedian said at the time.
In addition to using Ozempic, Morgan was regularly exercising to stay in shape. “I get up at 7 every morning, and I’m in the gym at 10,” he explained. “Then I go back to sleep. And that’s my life.”
During a March 24 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy FallonMorgan was asked about his physique after Jimmy Fallon paid him a compliment.
“That’s Ozempic,” Morgan quipped. “I’ve learned to out-eat Ozempic. I out-ate Ozempic. I’ve gained 40 pounds. I’m like Magic Johnson.”
In June 2014, he was involved in a tragic car accident on the New Jersey Turnpike that claimed the life of close friend and fellow comedian James “Jimmy Mack” McNairand left Morgan and other victims in critical care.
Morgan remained in intensive care for 10 days after his limo was hit by a Walmart truck. He suffered a broken leg, broken nose, broken femur and broken ribs after the six-vehicle crash. Three years later, he gave an update on his health at a Television Critics Association event, saying, “I’m doing fine. I don’t know how I’m going to be feeling tomorrow, but that’s none of my business. I know what I feel right now and I feel great. I feel fine.”
Earlier this month, it was announced that the Saturday Night Live alum is reuniting with Tina Fey — his former costar and producer on NBC’s 30 Rock — for another comedy series, this one centered on a “disgraced former football player” who’s “on a mission to rehabilitate his image.” Morgan is also set to star in a Paramount+ comedy series called Crutchscheduled to premiere later this year.
