Kyiv, Ukraine – A dam of Russian missiles and drones in kyiv during the night killed at least 15 people on Tuesday and injured 75 other people, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on x. It was one of the deadliest attacks against the Ukrainian capital in recent months. Local officials put the number of injured at 99.

Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City military administration, said the attack had dug a nine -storey residential building and destroy dozens of apartments. Emergency workers were on the spot to save people from the rubble.

The military administration of the city of Kyiv said in a statement that “the nature of the damage is direct blows on residential buildings. Rockets – upper floors in the basement ”.
The attack lasted nearly nine hours and is the last in a series of drone and mass missile attacks against Kyiv as War dragged.
This happened while the world leaders summoned themselves at the meeting of the seven group in Canada, which Zelenskyy was to attend. The summit takes place on Tuesday.
Zelenskyy said on X that Russia had launched more than 440 drones and 32 missiles in Ukraine. “Kyiv faced one of the most horrible attacks,” said Zelenskyy. “Such attacks are pure terrorism,” he added.
Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko told journalists on the scene that an American citizen had been killed in the attack after suffering injuries by bursts of shells. The explosions were heard for hours throughout the night on Tuesday.

Thirty apartments were destroyed in a single residential block after being struck by a ballistic missile, Klymenko said.
“We have 27 locations that have been attacked by the enemy. We currently have more than 2,000 people who work there, rescuers, police, municipal services and doctors,” he told journalists at the scene of one of the attacks.
Olena Lapyshniak, 49, was shaken from the attack which almost leveled its building. She heard a whistle, then two explosions that blew out her windows and doors.
“It’s horrible, it’s scary, in a moment there is no life,” she said. “There is no military infrastructure here, nothing here, nothing. It’s horrible when people die at night.”
People were injured in the districts of Sviatoshynskyi and Solomianskyi of the city. Kiev mayor Vitali Klitschko said the fires broke out in two other districts in the city due to the drop in debris from drones slaughtered by Ukrainian air defenses.
Canada, which assumed the G7 presidency this year, invited Zelenskyy to the summit, where it should hold individual meetings with world leaders.
Zelenskyy was to meet President Trump at the meeting on Tuesday, but Mr. Trump who left Canada early. The White House said that his departure, which was not planned, was due to Tensions in the Middle East.
