Kyiv, Ukraine – A dam of Russian missiles and drones in kyiv during the night killed at least 15 people on Tuesday and injured 75 other people, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on x. It was one of the deadliest attacks against the Ukrainian capital in recent months. Local officials put the number of injured at 99.

Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City military administration, said the attack had dug a nine -storey residential building and destroy dozens of apartments. Emergency workers were on the spot to save people from the rubble.

Thirty apartments were destroyed in a single residential block after being struck by a ballistic missile, Klymenko said.
“We have 27 locations that have been attacked by the enemy. We currently have more than 2,000 people who work there, rescuers, police, municipal services and doctors,” he told journalists at the scene of one of the attacks.
Olena Lapyshniak, 49, was shaken from the attack which almost leveled its building. She heard a whistle, then two explosions that blew out her windows and doors.
“It’s horrible, it’s scary, in a moment there is no life,” she said. “There is no military infrastructure here, nothing here, nothing. It’s horrible when people die at night.”
People were injured in the districts of Sviatoshynskyi and Solomianskyi of the city. Kiev mayor Vitali Klitschko said the fires broke out in two other districts in the city due to the drop in debris from drones slaughtered by Ukrainian air defenses.
Canada, which assumed the G7 presidency this year, invited Zelenskyy to the summit, where it should hold individual meetings with world leaders.
