The Switch 2 Is My Favorite Way to Play Cyberpunk 2077, and It’s Not Just Mouse Controls

I tested Cyberpunk 2077 On so many systems, pocket computers and different PCs, you would assume that the word “choom” would send me in a state of cyberpsychosis. But I am halfway from another game of the game on Switch 2And I can already say that it will be the first system that I use to finally finish the game since I played it for the last time in 2020. The version of Cyberpunk listening New Nintendo laptop is the most transparent and comfortable edition designed for consoles that always present the beautiful environments of the game.

Cyberpunk 2077 On switch 2

The game looks great on the pocket or reception computer, and although the mouse mode is not ideal for long sessions gyroscope commands.

Pros

  • Works at playable image frequencies in most scenarios
  • Incredible graphics in 1080p (even in portable mode)
  • Precise gyroscopic checks
  • The mouse mode offers more options to aim

Disadvantages

  • Some visual problems caused by DLSS
  • Incoherent buttons in games and menus (especially in mouse mode)
  • No mouse mode automatic control switching

You can play the cyber ninja simulator of CD Projekt Red on the open world of Red on Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5 with a solid visual fidelity at 60 frames per second in “Performance” mode, but it will never be as fluid as a playable experience as on switch 2. Streaming on Wi-FiBut when moored, the experience is even better due to stricter orders. By default and with two joy-con 2 controllers, Cyberpunk 2077 Offer Joystick Plus Gyro checks for the aim. There is a separate option that you can activate to activate Joy-Con mouse mode 2. Anyway, you can make a better game of precise cannons than you can with the hens. I could sit on the sofa and enjoy the game without leaning on a keyboard and a mouse and always feeling like not missing its combat systems with strong octane and spectacle.

In about 15 hours of gameplay, I tried the two control sets and played in portable mode also. The mouse commands are very precise, but the problem is always to find a comfortable position to rest your palm. My hand started to crash fairly quickly when I tried it on the cushion of the sofa next to me or the armrest of a chair. I was using the Holds of Killswitch cases manufactured by DBRAND, which made it much more ergonomic for mouse controls. The problem is the frequency you need to roll your hand to press the face buttons for actions and menus. On the other hand, I noticed that the gyrosals improved on switch 2 are so clean, I was able to align the shots with such ease that I would rarely exchange for the mouse.

The game also supports hand -handled controls for the recharging of weapons or the swing of melee weapons. I found that it could look a lot like the original Wii – where I would sweep my controller outdoors and pray that my character made the action I wanted. I kept the pimples and I thought it was a much tighter experience. I also hope that the CD Projekt Red allowed me to keep both the gyroscopic / inch controls and the mouse at the same time. If you activate mouse commands, you deactivate sticks and gyrosals. Metroid Prime 4: Beyond promises to allow players To exchange mouse chickens simply by immersing their controller on a surface. Something like that for Cyberpunk 2077 I would greatly go to help players avoid the wrist pain.

Cyberpunk 2077 Play a 1080p resolution in portable mode and when moored. Anyway, you can expect him to get between 30 and 40 IPS under “quality” graphic parameters, even during an intense shooting. This is equivalent to what you could get on a Steam bridgeAlthough I found that the performances were more consistent on Switch 2. I experienced image frequency boxes by driving in the third person in dense environments (first -person mode facilitates the frequency of images by taking part of the screen with the models of pistols or cars of the players – a long -standing performance trick used by most shooters in the first person). Any occasional team of performance was not enough to distract visuals of the game. If you are someone who absolutely requires 60 IPS of each game to which they play, you are not going to find this experience with Cyberpunk 2077 on switch 2.

There are occasional visual problems. On complicated textures such as carpets or fabric, the game has rendered the effects of a strange kaleidoscope that could become distracting in the cutscenes. This is probably due to the use of NVIDIA DLSS. The Nintendo Switch 2 uses a Nvidia personalized chipAnd this means that it can execute an increase in AI to take a frame rendered at 720p and massage it to resemble 1080p. The most recent version of UPSCALEULE DE NVIDIA, DLSS 4is normally devoid of these problems. The Switch 2 graphical processor is mainly equivalent to the NVIDIA AMPRère microarchitecture built almost five years ago, although NVIDIA obviously refined the system on chip (SOC) for Nintendo hardware specifications. This allows certain effects of lighting of the rays, although it can never be as spectacular as spectacular as possible on an ultra-cote PC operating with path tracing effects.

The fact that we are still talking about Cyberpunk 2077 As a high bar for graphically demanding games, five years after launch, the game can be beautiful and intensive. What is lost in the obsession with performance is how much a CD World CD Projekt Red established for the game. It is a game where the environment informs history. Each bag of waste thrown on the side of the road testifies to a world which has become so corpized that there are no social services as simple as the collection of garbage available to all except the rich. The player can climb to the top of an overhanging skyscraper and watch the city of the night mist and all its inhabitants in a thick gloom.

You need a certain amount of visual loyalty to represent this, and the Switch 2 version of Cyberpunk 2077 maintains this atmosphere. The first time I played the game Shortly after launchI crossed the 60 full hours in a state that would be better described as an interactive slideshow. The game was so bubbling that I sometimes had the impression that my PC was infected with a neurovirus at stake. But I still loved it for the wonderful story centered on the man she told – characters who felt real and friendly and the themes of corporate oppression that feel more relevant today than in 2020.
