Investigators in India are Study the black boxes of a Boeing 787 Dreamliner after having recovered them from the wreckage of the plane to determine the cause of Last week’s plane accident It left at least 270 dead.
The black boxes will provide conversations and data on the cockpit linked to the airplane engine and the control parameters to investigators and will help them determine the cause of the accident.
London’s link Indian water Aircraft, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, crashed in a medical college inn shortly after taking off from the west of the city of Ahmedabad. A single passenger has survived the accident, while 241 people on board and 29 on the ground were killed in one of the worst disasters in India aviation for decades.
Experts from the India Airplane Accident Investigation Office investigated the accident with the help of the United Kingdom, the United States and Boeing officials.
The data from the black box is crucial
Amit Singh, a former pilot and an aviation expert, said that recovery of flight data and cockpit or black boxes are crucial to reconstruct the event sequence.

The cockpit voice recorder records the conversation of the pilots, the emergency alarms and any distress signal made before an accident. The plane’s digital flight data recorder stores the information related to engine and control settings. The two devices are designed to survive an accident.
“The data reveals everything,” said Singh, adding that technical details could be corroborated by the cockpit vocal recorder that would help investigators know any communication between air traffic control and drivers.
India’s aviation regulatory organization said the plane had appealed from Mayday before the accident.
Singh said the investigative authorities will scan video surveillance images from the neighboring area and speak with witnesses to reach the deep cause of the accident.
In addition, Singh said, investigators will also study drivers’ training files, the total aircraft load, thrust problems linked to the airplane engine, as well as its value in terms of past performance and any previously reported problem.
The investigation into the accident could take time
Aurobindo Handa, former director general of the India plane accident investigations, said investigators around the world were following a standard non -prescribed investigation manual, also called “DOC 9756”, which describes detailed procedures to reach the most likely cause of an accident.
Handa said the investigation into last week’s accident would likely be a long process because the plane was seriously charred. He added that determining the state of the black boxes recovered from the accident site was vital because the heat generated by the accident could perhaps be higher than the bearable threshold of the device.
The Indian government has set up a distinct high -level committee to examine the causes leading to the accident and formulate procedures to prevent and manage planes emergencies in the future. The committee should submit a preliminary report within three months.
The authorities also started to inspect and carry out an additional maintenance and controls of the total India air fleet of Boeing 787 Dreamliners to prevent any future incident. Air India has 33 Dreamliners in its fleet.
The plane that crashed was 12 years old. Boeing aircraft were prey to safety problems on other types of aircraft. There are currently about 1,200 of the 787 Dreamliner planes worldwide and it was the first fatal accident in 16 years of operation, according to experts.
