Months after Diddy’s lawyers filed a motion to get the names of the rapper’s accusers, federal prosecutors have been ordered to release the information.

According to TMZthe names Diddy’s attorneys sought were the ones listed in the indictment brought against the music mogul in September 2024.

Although it was already clear that Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Cassie was one of the victims in question, the rest of the names were anonymous to the rapper and his attorneys.

They were only referred to as Victim 1, Victim 2, and Victim 3, with Cassie being noted as Victim 1, seemingly due to her assault video being a key piece of evidence in the upcoming trial.

Ahead of the trial, Diddy’s lawyers have made moves to discredit the viral Cassie assault video released by CNN.

Previously, they argued that federal prosecutors presented an edited version of the video to negatively influence one of Diddy’s bail hearings.

At the time, they claimed that the alleged altered footage exaggerated Diddy’s perceived threat. They also said that the altercation was simply a “sad glimpse into a decade-long consensual relationship” and described it as just a “domestic dispute.”

More recently, the attorneys wrote a letter to the court in which they claimed that CNN destroyed the original footage.

They also accused the news outlet of uploading an altered one whose “sequence” and “speed” had been changed.

Following the claims of the assault video being doctored, Cassie’s lawyer, Douglas Wigdor, slammed the allegations.

He described them as a “disingenuous argument” from Diddy’s legal team and went on to say that any motion to exclude the video from the upcoming trial would fail.

“I am confident that the video fairly and accurately represents what happened, will be admitted into evidence,” he said.

The attorney also predicted that Diddy “will be held accountable for his depravity,” seemingly referencing the charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

The scenes from the viral video showed a vicious Diddy violently attacking Cassie after she tried to leave the hotel room they were lodged in.

The incident began with a partially dressed Diddy chasing after Cassie as she hurried toward the hotel elevator.

Upon catching up to her, the music mogul grabbed her roughly by the neck and forcefully shoved her to the ground, several feet away from the elevator.

He then delivered a brutal kick to her body before quickly gathering her belongings.

In a continued display of aggression, Diddy kicked Cassie again and dragged her back down the hallway by her hoodie to their hotel room. Later, he was seen angrily throwing a vase in her direction while seated in a chair.

Despite the lawsuit being expected to serve as key evidence in Diddy’s upcoming trial, no official charges of assault were brought against him, as the statute of limitations for reporting such an incident has since elapsed.

However, Cassie did bring a civil suit against Diddy, which was later settled for an undisclosed sum.
