Lizzo Calls Out Andy Cohen In Spicy SiriusXM Interview, Why The Beef?
Lizzo didn’t hold back when she sat down with Andy Cohen on his SiriusXM radio show, “Andy Cohen Live,” calling him out for accidentally outing her relationship with boyfriend Myke Wright before they had gone public.
During the conversation, Andy Cohen asked Lizzo if she was “in love” with Wright, a question he had previously posed to her in 2022, long before she had officially confirmed the romance.

“I really got beef with you because the last time we saw each other you f-cking outed me!” Lizzo joked, per Page Six. “That was so funny.”
Cohen admitted that he had unknowingly “stepped in sh-t” when he originally asked the question, prompting Lizzo to reflect on how uncomfortable the moment had been for her at the time.
“I was in such a weird position because, like, we’re so private,” she explained. “But he was there and I was like, ‘I don’t want to say ‘no’ because I don’t want to like (hurt him).’”
Lizzo and Wright were first spotted together in 2021, but the pair didn’t officially confirm their relationship until June 2022, when they made their red carpet debut just a few months after Cohen’s interview.

When Cohen asked whether his question caused issues between her and Wright, Lizzo reassured him that everything between them remained solid.
“It started sh-t with the world, though,” she laughed. “I think when the world sees two happy people, they want to destroy them.”

Beyond relationship talk, Lizzo also got candid about the mental health challenges she faced after being hit with multiple lawsuits in 2023including allegations of sexual harassment and workplace misconduct by former background dancers.
During a recent concert in Los Angeles, the “Truth Hurts” singer revealed just how deeply the accusations affected her.
“I was so heartbroken by the world and so deeply hurt that I didn’t want to live anymore, and I was so deeply afraid of people that I didn’t want to be seen,” she told the crowd at The Wiltern, per a video shared on Xthe social media platform formerly known as Twitter. “Eventually I got over that fear.”
Lizzo has denied all allegations, calling the claims “outrageous” and “unbelievable.”

In December 2024, Lizzo scored a partial legal victory as a California judge dismissed several claims from the September 2023 harassment lawsuit filed against her “Big Grrrl Big Tour” company by former stylist Asha Daniels.
Daniels had alleged racial and sexual harassment by members of Lizzo’s management team, accusing them of making fatphobic remarks and fostering a hostile work environment. The lawsuit also claimed that Black women on the tour were referred to as “dumb,” “useless,” and “fat.”
On Monday, December 2, Judge Fernando L. Aenlle-Rocha ruled in favor of Lizzo’s team, dismissing several claims on the basis that U.S. labor laws do not apply since Daniels was employed while the tour was in Europe.

“These allegations do not establish plausibly that any portion of plaintiff’s claim arose from work performed in the United States or qualifying territories,” the judge stated, according to Page Six.
Additionally, the judge noted that Daniels failed to provide evidence proving she was owed overtime pay for her work on the tour.
This isn’t the first time Lizzo’s legal team has fought back against Daniels’ claims. In December 2023, the singer’s lawyers filed an objection to the lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court, calling the allegations a “meritless and salacious action” from someone who worked for less than three weeks.
They further argued that Daniels had “refused to comply with instructions” from her supervisors and exhibited unprofessional behavior while on tour.
The lawsuit is just one of several legal battles that have sparked widespread controversy around Lizzo, 36, leading to an onslaught of negative publicity. The backlash became so overwhelming that Lizzo took to Instagram earlier this year, expressing frustration over the scrutiny.

“I didn’t sign up for this sh-t,” she vented in one post, hinting at thoughts of leaving the industry altogether.
In another statement, she vehemently denied the accusations, calling them “unbelievable” and “outrageous.”
“Usually, I choose not to respond to false allegations, but these are as unbelievable as they sound and too outrageous not to be addressed,” she wrote. “These sensationalized stories are coming from former employees who have already publicly admitted that they were told their behavior on tour was inappropriate and unprofessional.”
