TikTok’s Chinese owner may get more time to sell, Trump suggests – National


President Donald Trump suggested on Tuesday that he would probably extend a deadline for Tiktok Chinese owner to disintegrate the popular video sharing application.

Trump had signed an early order April to keep Tiktok to run for 75 additional days After a potential agreement to sell the application to American owners, it was put on the ice.

“Probably yes, yes,” he replied when asked by the journalists on Air Force One if the deadline would be extended again.

“We must probably get the approval of China, but I think we will get it. I think President Xi will finally approve of it.”

He said in an interview last month with NBC that he would be open to posting the deadline. If it is announced, it would be the third time that Trump has extended the deadline.
