A Wisconsin couple were charged in a conspiracy to kill two women with cyanide, and several investigators who followed the pair were hospitalized after entering into contact with the poison, according to prosecutors and reports.
Paul Vanduyne and Andrea Whitaker are accused of having created poisons and using them in an elaborate attempt to kill two different women who were ex-girlfriends of Vanduyne, according to the Wisconsin Ministry of Justice.
Prosecutors allege that Vanduyne burst into a woman’s car in a parking lot of Middleton Costco last month and contaminated his bottle of water with cyanide. She found people outside her car telling her that the car had been falsified, even if she found nothing wrong at the time, Fox 47 reported. She found that water had a funny taste, reported the point of sale.

Two weeks later, the same would be reproduced again. This time, the woman brought the bottle to The police, who tested it and confirmed it contained cyanide.
Above the same time, another woman from the Rock County was hospitalized after drinking water contributed to the cyanide found in her car after a gymnasium visit.
The two alleged victims came briefly with Vanduyne, the prosecutors said.

Vanduyne was arrested Sunday after the investigations related to Hazmat and that the authorities caught him would have tried to try to help cover the evidence.
Police were watching Vanduyne but was forced to move quickly when he tried to contact the Rock County wife last weekend. He was arrested and reserved on Sunday.
In prison, Vanduyne called Whitaker and asked him to withdraw the objects from his house, prosecutors said.
The agents intercepted it with its personal effects. When searching for his phone, they found several messages between the couple discussing different poisons. Prosecutors think that the couple planned to assassinate the ex-girlfriends of Vanduyne with poison.
At least seven state investigators on the case were hospitalized for possible exhibition to the poison, Wisn.com reported.

The point of sale reported that the assistant prosecutor of the Dane County, William Brown, revealed that Whitaker’s online history included research for “Water from the potassium cyanide cloud?” And “smell of sodium cyanide, sodium cyanide”.
Research also included “what does cyanide look like?” And “deadly cyanide,” he said.
