The Israeli army said on Sunday that it had recovered the remains of three hostages held in the Gaza Strip. At least four Palestinians were killed in an Israeli air strike and 22 injured while waiting for humanitarian aid, according to a local hospital.
The soldiers identified the remains like those of Yonatan Samerano, 21; Ofra Keidar, 70 years old; And Shay Levinson, 19. All three were killed in October 7, 2023 in Hamas, in Israel, which sparked the current war. The militant group still holds 50 hostages, less than half of them believed alive.
The military provided no details on the recovery operation, and it was not clear if the air strike was linked to it.
