US President Donald Trump took a bet by inserting the United States in the worsening of the conflict between Israel and Iran, but that may have paid-at least for the moment.
Trump announced on Monday evening that the two countries had accepted a cease-fire which, according to him, could lead to lasting peace.
If the American president in fact put an end to what he labeled the “12 -day war”, it would take a significant step back compared to the edge of a conflict that seemed to be on the point of engaging the region, while pulling America further after that the American air strikes struck the Iranian nuclear installations on Saturday.
