Have you ever wondered about the distance between Tatooine and Naboo? And the accumulated mileage of Obi-Wan Kenobi during the clones wars? The good news is that the strength is with you: all your questions are answered by the new Star Wars galactic card.
The card divides the Galaxy of Star Wars into important regions. Fans of cinema could be familiar with the central worlds (where Coruscant is located) and the outer edge (where you can find Tatooine), but the deep core, the colony worlds, the interior rim, the expansion region and unknown regions are also included of almost all the movies and issues of Star Wars (which you can (that you can ( flow now on Disney Plus).
You can also see who controls which parts of the galaxy, because the planetary belts controlled both and in Hutt are clearly marked on the cards. It is good to know these things, so you can avoid being in one of their miserable hives of foam and wickedness.
While this galactic card existed before its current iteration, a Blog article by writer Jason Fry mentions that it was removed for a massive overhaul.
“The plan is to continue to update this page with periodic card revisions and annex,” said the message. “I also hope to reveal the regional maps redesigned with the borders of the sector and continue the sector mapping project with the inner edge, the colonies, the nucleus and the deep nucleus.”
While continuing to be updated, I hope it will also add worlds to come to the next Star Wars movies and series like The Mandalorian and the Grogu (to come in 2026) and Star Wars: Starfighter (to come in 2027).
The blog post also includes an literate list of planets displayed on the card, which could facilitate the search for what you are looking for. There are more than 1,000 celestial bodies to keep an eye on, so it could take you a minute to choose a given planet if you are not sure of which sector it is.
This resource was created as a complementary part for the Star Wars chronologies bookwhich contains other key information on the Star Wars universe, including chronological graphics for the most important events, characters and scenarios of the galaxy.
