The rampart of the Château d’Amboise is at risk of collapse. For four months, workers have strengthened fortifications due to cracks and bulk stones caused by climate change. The heavy rains of the fall soaked the terraces near the wall, leading to an urgent landslide warning at the end of January, when 2,000 tonnes of earth were removed. Other castles in the region are in danger due to extreme weather events.
