Threads now has a Hidden Words setting that’s separate from Instagram

Threads and Instagram continue to decouple. Meta’s social network has updated its hidden word adjustment make it separate from Instagram. Before this update, users had a global hidden word parameter which had an impact on the two platforms.

For the uninitiated, the hidden word parameter allows users to filter the things they don’t want to see. The parameter can be applied to messages, food, research, profiles and answers. The tool can filter words, sentences and emojis.

Threads also offers the possibility of repeating the words and sentences for a period of 30 days. This is really useful for avoiding spoilers or simply when you start a certain subject of discussion. Today’s update even brings the possibility of filtering words and phrases in lots. The chief of sons Adam Mosseri says that all of this has been done so that users can “shape the experience in an experience where they feel comfortable”.
