“We are sorry to report the loss of our brother Red Oak Firefighter Jay Lyons today in a tragic accident while he was on vacation outside the country,” said the department in a Facebook article on June 6. “Jay was much appreciated here in Red Oak and he made a lasting impression on everyone.”
“He was an optimistic person who loved his family,” said Red Oak Community FD.
