Izmir airport suspends thefts, and the authorities evacuate residents while Strong Winds Fan Blaze in the Western province.
Turkiye has evacuated four villages and two districts in its western province of Izmir while the firefighters fight forest fires for the second day, according to local authorities.
Forest Minister Ibrahim Yumakli said on Monday that the fire was stretched overnight by winds reaching 40 to 50 km / h (25-30 MPH) in the Kuyucak and Doganbey of Izmir regions.
Helicopters, fire extinction planes and other vehicles, and more than 1,000 people were trying to put out the fires, Yumakli told journalists in Izmir.
The operations of Izmir Adnan Menderes airport were suspended due to the fire, the Turkish media reported.
