GKIDS will publish a new 4K version of Shinji Higuchi And Hideaki AnnoModernized spin on the Kaiju icon in theaters from August 14, but especially the studio will also publish a new UHD home release in 4K, the first time the film will be made available in the format in the United States

Beyond remastering, the new home version will also restore the stylized text cards that have been deleted in subtitled versions of Shin Godzillaprecedes the home release of the United States. Part of the commentary on the film on the administrative absurdity of the Japanese government bureaucracy, giving managers and projects openly long and formalized titles, the theatrical version has displayed text legends in a stylized way alongside the original Japanese versions, but home releases have carried out a clean version of the film by deleting them, replacing the Japanese titles by default. Of course, the comment has always fallen on, but it simply did not seem not so good, and undoubtedly had an experience of subtitling even worse.
