Orlando, Florida – The Witcher 4 It is still years away from the exit, but we now have a much better idea of what the RPG of the open world will look like.
CD Projekt Red has shown a magnificent technological demo of The Witcher 4 during the state of Epic Games University Empiet this morning to Unreal Fest 2025. What we saw was not real gameplay images – the developer worked with Epic to make this building playable specifically for the conference – but it shows some of the new functionalities 5.6 Unreal Meule.
The technological demo opened with a vicious beast attacking a group without distrust of men traveling on a road, removing them one by one. We then see the protagonist of Witcher 4 Ciri, who is now a veteran in force of monsters after the events of the last match. It is in the Kovir region, a new massive area never seen before in the series.
Ciri tries to find the disappeared people in the snowy mountains with his horse, Kelpi. Thanks to the new improvements in UE5.6, the Witcher 4 will have rich environmental details and a more fluid character animation. During the demo, Epic showed an X -ray view of the Kelpi body, which revealed a realistic simulation of the horse’s musculature.
CDPR said on stage that the game can also take care of the content much faster in the open world with the EU rapid geometry streaming plugin. Ciri walked on the Valdrest market, showing how reactive the world is for the player when it comes up against a villager, which made him overthrow the food he wore. Representatives have said that such actions can even cause a chain reaction because these NPCs interact with other characters.
Ciri speaks later to the merchant who hired him to find his men, and it was then that she told him the bad news. At one point, the camera takes place on the city square, and Epic Games said that there were more than 300 skeletal stitch agents in this scene and that it does not affect the performances of the game at all. The demo ended with Ciri and his horse returning home.
More impressive, the demo operated on a standard 5 standard at 60 images per second with the tracing of the shelves, showing the efficiency of UE5.6 during the construction of open world games.
