Prosecutors seek up to four months sentences in Aya Nakamura racist abuse trial

Thirteen people were tried Wednesday in France for a racist insult targeting the Franco-Malian singer Aya Nakamura. The defendants, linked to the extreme right group the natives, would have displayed a banner in March 2024 by reading: “No question, Aya, is Paris, not the Bamako market”, after having pointed out that she could play the Paris Olympic Games.
