Alan Wake 2 arrived in October 2023 with many expectations, following the Alan Wake, preferred by fans, 13 years and two generations of console later. Studio Remedy (Control, Quantum Break, Max Payne) produced a singer’s survival horror game that really looks like a singular experience that you will not find anywhere else.
Alan Wake 2 resumes 13 years in the game after the original with a separate story between two characters: the titular horror writer Alan Wake remained in the dark place and the Anderson saga, the FBI agent investigating strange activities in the Bright Falls region. With vibrations of twin peaks, X-Files and darker cult horror, Alan Wake 2 is an incredible game, withdrawing pieces from the so-called “Remedyverse” while the universe of Wake absorbs the equipment and characters in control and other games in the studio range. And if it was not spoiled, there is a musical number (seriously) in the game, as has become a tradition with the work of Remedy, which will make you pump your fist in noisy joy.
Surprise remedy published the first expansion of the DLC, Night Springs, in mid-2014. The second, Lake House, arrives in October 2024. These require the expansion pass, which is included in the digital or luxury physical edition – in short, it is enough to pass or buy the luxury edition of Alan Wake 2 to have access to the two.
