Apple released iOS 18 In 2024, and the update brought many new features to your iPhone, such as the possibility of lock and hide certain applications on your iPhone and more ways to personalize your locking screen And Control center. This feature can be used on your locking screen or control center to open games, social media applications and more. There are many new controls in iOS 18, but it allows you to adapt your iPhone to your needs.

What is open application?
The open application is a predefined shortcut that allows you to open any application from your control center or your locking screen once you have unlocked your iPhone. It allows you to create new checks for your control center and locking screen that are not included in the control library. This means that you can create a control to launch your favorite game, your social media platform or another application from your locking screen or your control center.
How to use the open application for your lock screen
You can delete your lock screen commands, or you can put your favorite game there, like Hello Kitty Island Adventure.
1 and 1 Open the parameters.

3 and 3 Press the screen you want to customize – your locking screen is always on the left.
4 Press–) Sign next to the command you want to remove at the bottom of your screen – you cannot replace these two commands, you cannot add more.

8 Press the application for which you want to create a shortcut.
9. Press a space around the shortcut menu.

You can now access the application you want from your locking screen once you have entered your faceid or password. So, if you receive a lot of emails sent to your phone to work or otherwise, you can go directly to your email application from your locking screen without being distracted by another application.
How to use the open application in your control center
1 and 1 Slide down the upper right corner of your iPhone to open your control center.
2 Press the most (+) Symbol in the upper left corner of your screen.
3 and 3 Faucet Add a check At the bottom of your screen.
4 Faucet Open application. You can find it under shortcuts or search in the search bar at the top of your screen.
5 Faucet Choose In the shortcut menu.
6. Press the application for which you want to create a check.
7 Press a space around the shortcut menu.
8 Press and hold the new control to move it wherever you want.
9. Press an empty space in your control center or lock your screen to finish.
