Doctors in India say that 270 bodies have been recovered from the site of Thursday plane crash in Ahmedabad.
The plane to London crashed in a residential area shortly after takeoff, killing every 242 passengers and crew members except one, a 40 -year -old British man.
The officials also tried to establish the number of people killed on the ground and continued the slow process of corresponding DNA samples to confirm the identities of the victims.
Vigils honoring the dead took place through India and the United Kingdom.
The India Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) is investigating the cause of the accident, helped by teams from the United States and the United Kingdom.

He also visited the hospital to meet some of the injured in the disaster, including the Survivor of the unique Vishwashkumar Ramesh planeSaying later that “the whole nation prays for their rapid recovery”.
The CEO of Air India, Campbell Wilson, also visited the accident site on Friday and described the visit as “deeply moving”.
