Amazon to invest $233M to enhance its India infrastructure

Amazon said Thursday that it would invest around 233 million dollars in its Indian activity to further develop its operational infrastructure, develop new tools for its delivery network and work on employee safety and well-being programs.

The company said the investment helps it to double its efforts to deliver to all PIN codes in the country.

“This investment will improve treatment capacity, improve production speed and increase efficiency through the company’s operations network”, Amazon said In a blog article.

As part of the investment, the company will continue to work on certain initiatives to support its entrepreneurs and employees, including rest points for delivery staff; financial education and support; scholarships for the children of the partners; And the support of health care for truck drivers.

Amazon has said that it also develops new software and tools to help delivery staff with navigation, security and overall delivery process.
