Android 16 is out, complete with new features for Pixel phones including live notification updates

Google has published Android 16 in the masses, as it is now available for compatible handsets. The company claims that new devices will be preloaded with the operating system in “the next few months”. As usual, it first comes on Google’s own pixel phones.

The update includes several notable features. The biggest could be live updates in notifications. This means that things like driving breasts and food deliveries will get a progress bar directly in notification, so people will not have to open constantly and close the application to wonder why a burrito seems to be stuck with four houses.

In addition, notifications of the same application will now be automatically grouped together to reduce congestion and pings. There is now a support for audio hearing aids, with a native control option. Users can also switch to the phone’s microphone when using one of these hearing aids for lighter audio in noisy places.

Google has linked all its safety features together, so that users can now be protected against “online attacks, harmful applications, dangerous websites, scam calls and even more in a blow”. This includes new Detection characteristics of the scam which were previewed in May.

Shuttersbugs obtain a fairly robust suite of new features, including automatic detection of the night mode scene, hybrid automatic exposure and more precise color temperature adjustments. Ultrahdr images have been improved, with the HEIC encoding support, and Android 16 offers integration with the high -end advanced professional video codec.

The company finally brings Office window on AndroidBut it is not yet ready. This feature will be available for general users later in the year, but Android 16 QPR 3 Beta 2 currently previews functionality.

There is also an update of the neat Android ecosystem with some clever features. This includes RCS group cats upgraded, with personalized icons and the possibility of cutting the wires. Google Photos now offers an improved AI image editor that will recommend the suggested changes. Emoji Kitchen receives new combinations of stickers and operating system devices can now pay transport prices without having to open a dedicated application.

Finally, Google offered details on the fall of pixels for June. The new features include a vips pixel widget which displays information on preferred contacts and more expressive legends on videos.
