Switch 2 is not like other consoles. If you were supposed to take your Xbox Series X (7/10, wired review) In the park, you would probably need a very strange backpack. For Switch 2, portability is not only a functionality, it is a key sales argument. In this spirit, there are two paths that you can take to equip your console for the adventure, depending on the way you play.
If your switch 2 will spend most of his life in the platform or in your hands on the sofa, I would recommend an attractive handle box. Like your telephone case, these attach to the console and the joys-corn, providing a minor shield for bumps and bruises. They often add additional features such as ergonomic handles, while allowing access to ports commonly used.
On the other hand, if you are a world traveler who plans to take your switch 2 on each flight, train or road trip, I would opt for a conventional transport case. These contain your console and games and generally have an additional place for cables or adapters. You can throw them in your bag while packing your bags for a trip and knowing that your console will go to your destination safely.
One of the recurring complaints concerning the original switch, at least for me, is that the Joy-Cons are super thin and not very ergonomic. Especially for people with larger hands, the professional controller made a much better option. For the portable game, additional attachments have become more and more common in the life of the console, adding additional and more traditional loose handles to the joys-corks.
Because the Joy-Cons are always flat at the back, many manufacturers have done the front and built them in cases from the jump. This is, for me, one of the main prints of adding a case to your switch 2, especially if you plan to play mainly in portable mode.
Unfortunately, you need a screen protector for your Switch 2, thanks to the integrated plastic blanket that will scratch and probably escape over time. In general, I would recommend buying one from the same brand that you get your case or your grip, if they sell one. You will avoid any problem with dimensioning or compatibility, and almost all accessories manufacturers on this list offer a kind of discount if you buy them as a bundle, not to mention the recording of the shipment.
There are still some factors to take into consideration. Some dedicated manufacturers offer different finishes for specific situations, and applicators also become more common, which helps ensure that everything is smooth and aligned correctly.
One of the big upgrades that Nintendo has made for the Switch 2 is a new outfit. It manages the width of the console, with two firm hinges, and it is a massive improvement to play on the go. Unfortunately, none of the manufacturers of cases could understand what to do with it, which is understandable. There is no clear fixing point, so most of the cases included double -sided adhesive tape and a piece of kickstand plastic, you could simply stay at the back.
I would be more worried about hurting it or potentially breaking the kickstand if you were trying to remove it for any reason that I would not do it about a slight gap on the back of the case. Because I had to escape through a lot of cases, I generally jumped this step, and in almost all cases, the additional room is only cosmetic. Instead, I briefly tested the adhesive tapes included in one place at the back of my switch, just to make sure they have left no obvious residue.
