Blake Lively Legal Update, Tina Knowles Defends Family: 5 Hot Stories
Blake Lively filed a motion to dismiss Justin Baldoni’s multi-million dollar lawsuit on Thursday, March 20, according to new court documents. In a statement to Us Weekly, Lively’s lawyers referred to Baldoni’s “meritless and retaliatory” suit as “a profound abuse of the legal process that has no place in federal court.” The attorneys further claimed that “the Wayfarer Parties’ attempt to sue Ms. Lively ‘into oblivion’ has only created more liability for them, and deservedly so, given what they have done.” News broke in December 2024 that Lively sued Baldoni for sexual harassment, alleging he created a hostile work environment on the set of their movie It Ends With Us, which was released earlier that year. Baldoni denied the accusations before filing lawsuits of his own against The New York Times — the outlet which published Lively’s complaint — and against his costar and her husband, Ryan Reynolds. The couple have also shut down Baldoni’s allegations. Reynolds filed his own motion to dismiss Baldoni’s lawsuit days before Lively. A judge previously granted The New York Times’ request to pause their battle against Baldoni while reviewing their motion for dismissal. A trial date is set for March 2026.
