Blake Lively Seems Unfazed In Selfie Amid Legal Dispute
In December 2024, Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, claiming he had sexually harassed her during production and later orchestrated a smear campaign against her. Baldoni has denied all allegations.
The situation intensified in January 2025 when Justin Baldoni countersued Blake Lively, Ryan Reynoldsand Lively’s publicist, Leslie Sloane, for $400 million, alleging defamation and extortion.

The “Gossip Girl” alum took to Instagram on Sunday to share glimpses of a cozy baking session with her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and their four children, James, 10, Inez, 8, Betty, 5, and Olin, 2.
Among the photos Lively posted were snaps of adorably decorated cupcakes and sugar cookies designed to look like horses, covered in brown, white, and black icing. She humorously captioned one of the pictures, “The family that bakes together… stays sick on buttercream together,” setting the post to the lullaby “All the Pretty Little Horses” by The Big Three.
In the final slide of her Instagram Stories, Lively shared a smiling selfie with Reynolds as she rested her head on his shoulder, taking a brief pause from their baking fun.

The actress’s lighthearted social media update comes amid escalating tensions between her and Baldoni whom she accused of sexual harassment on the set of their 2024 romantic drama “It Ends With Us.”
Last month, Lively’s legal team requested that certain evidence be classified as “Attorney’s Eyes Only,” limiting public access to specific case documents. However, Baldoni’s team pushed back, accusing her of trying to “shield, from public view, documents and information exchanged herein.”

A judge recently granted Lively a protective orderpreventing Baldoni from leaking sensitive information to the public. However, a loophole in the ruling states that documents cited during trial are unlikely to be sealed, meaning the public could gain access to case materials once proceedings begin in March 2026.

A significant point of contention between Lively and Baldoni stems from his alleged comments about her late father, Ernie Lively, who passed away in 2021 from cardiac complications.
Lively’s legal filing claims that Baldoni, a follower of the Baha’i faith, repeatedly told her he could communicate with her late father, something that reportedly deeply disturbed the actress.
“Blake doesn’t like anyone to talk about her dad. She will have found it very offensive for someone outside her circle to bring up his name even,” a source revealed. “It’s been a few years since he passed, but he is a very, very touchy subject with her.”

Lively has honored her father’s legacy through her Blake Brown haircare brand, which references the original family surname he took before marrying Lively’s mother.
Justin Baldoni is taking his legal battle with Blake Lively to the next level, launching a public website to present what he claims is evidence refuting her allegations of sexual harassment.
Following Lively’s December 2024 lawsuit, Baldoni introduced an online platform designed to showcase text message exchanges between him and Lively. According to his legal team, led by high-profile attorney Bryan Freedman, the website was created to provide a “transparent, factual account of events” and would be regularly updated for the public to assess the case for themselves.
However, with the judge recently granting Lively a protective order, it appears Baldoni’s ability to release additional materials may be restricted moving forward.

Among the documents published on Baldoni’s site is a series of text messages between him and Lively, allegedly offering a behind-the-scenes look at their professional dynamic while developing “It Ends With Us.”
As Lively and Reynolds continue to balance legal battles with family life, the “It Ends With Us” scandal remains one of Hollywood’s most closely watched cases. With the trial set for March 2026, the public is bracing for more revelations as the high-profile dispute plays out in court.
For now, Lively appears to be finding comfort in her family-focused moments, proving that, at least in her home, the sweetness of buttercream can momentarily outweigh the bitterness of legal drama.
