“I turned up at the Oaklands Park Hotel in Weybridge to Meet the Squad, and I Was Going in Scared. There Were Five Leicester Players in the Squad, So I Knew Some, But the Rest Of The Lads … Scott Gibbs, Keith Wood, These Guys Were Like Flipping Superhero Terrified.

“I was rooming with a giant of a man who has become one of my great friend, scott quinnell, and i’d never put him before in my life. I turned up so concerned but came over and gave me the biggest cuddle. It was like being cuddled by hagrid.

“Then Allan Bateman Came Over and Said: ‘Hello mate, I think we’ll probably be playing in the midweek team together because Gibbs-Guscott Might be the first Testnership,’ So we had a little Laugh and a Joke Straight.
