My problems with sciatica are quite dormant at the moment, so I was able to increase my training. I always receive a little pain in my right joint if I walk or I hold too much and it sometimes refers to minor pain on my leg. I looked for how the joint problems of if could turn into sciatica and it seems that there are at least two mechanisms. The piriform muscle crosses the articulation if and can be irritated, which can in turn affect the sciatic nerve which passes just below (or in some people, it crosses the piriform muscle). A second way is that if the joint if is inflamed, it can release inflammatory enzymes (cytokines) which can cross the neighboring sciatic nerve. There is also a detailed discussion on how the joint if affects sciatica by This YouTube video. Whatever the mechanism, I suffocate this in the bud by cutting short or seated walks if necessary. In addition, I found that it was useful to wear a joint belt if. Fortunately, none of my main activities of cycling, arms cycling or force exercise with resistance bands causes symptoms.
So, recently, I became a little stronger and longer on all these activities and it feels good. Yesterday, I made 30 minutes of easy cycling, then a three -hour journey with my local group. We came out at the end of Redwood Retreat Road in the southwest of Morgan Hill, one of my favorite routes. It was a quick and quite pleasant rhythm most of the time, but it was a little hot towards the end. It is the period of the year to wear lighter layers and do not forget to bring ice water to my hydration bladder.
