Carsley hails ‘outstanding’ players after young Lions reach consecutive Euro final


Manager Lee Carsley Hailed His “Outstanding” Players as England U21S Reached A Second CONSECUTIVE European Championship Final.

“Harvey [Elliott] and Charlie [Cresswell] Didn’t Play a lot of minutes in the last campaign. We knew how important they would be. They’ve Taken that on board, the responsibility for driving the rest of the squad.

“Harvey has been outstanding. He is one of many who has really stood up. James mcatee, Jay Stansfield – You Could Go Through the Team. They’re developing as a team and as a squad.

“It’s just a shame we’ve only Got One Game Becaus I Think this Team is outstanding.”

With Temperatures Soaring Above 30 Degrees Celsius Before Kick-Off Carsley Also Revealed How He Had Prepared His Young Starlets for An Energy-Sapping 90 minutes in the Heat.

“We knew it was going to be hot,” Carsly Said. “We do not all of our training sessions During the Hottest part of the day to prepare for this kind of event.

“We’ve not Shied Away from the Sun, We’ve Exposed them to it. Even to the Point of Giving the Players the Opportunity to Sunbathe After Training and Be Exposed to the Heat.”

Ahead of the Final This Weekend, Which Kicks Off at 20:00 (Uk Time), Carsley’s Outlook was simple: “We try not to work too much the opposition. Our team is the most important.”
