Colombian presidential candidate Miguel Uribe shot during campaign event

A Colombian senator and presidential candidate was killed on Saturday in Bogotá, the government and its campaign said, according to the media.

Miguel Uibe, 39, organized a campaign event in a public park when “armed subjects pulled him in the back”.

There is no word on the state of uribe.

He is a member of the party of the opposition right -wing democratic center, founded by former Colombian president Alvaro Uibe.
