Death Stranding 2 Ending Explained: What Happened to Lou, Neil Vana and BB-28?

Death Stranding 2’s The release date was Thursday but some players who bought a special edition of the game have already been playing there for two days. As it takes 30 to 40 hours to finish the game, some will see the end and wonder what they have just experienced in the world.

Death Stranding 2 comes from the spirit of Hideo Kojima and it can be a little eccentric with its video games. This game is a leading creativity of the legendary game developer, but it is not easy to follow what happened, even when you have finished your game.

What happened with Lou?

At the start of the game, Fragile holds Lou when Higgs shoots him. When she arrives, she tells Sam that Lou left. We see a month later that Sam is looking for Lou and find it, but it is clearly not Lou – it’s a dream. Sam continues to transport Lou’s Pod BB as if Lou was still a baby with him. He will hear Lou cry, he can comfort her and all the other actions he was able to do in the first match.

Towards the end, we learn a few things. First of all, Lou was Sam’s daughter with Lucy, Sam’s therapist, who is briefly shown in the first match. Second, the Lou that Sam has worn seems to be just one of his illusions that Magallan’s crew apparently followed. All these capacities that BBS can make, such as digitization for BTS, were carried out by Dollman. Finally, tomorrow is the daughter of Sam, in other words, Lou.

So, in the final battle with Higgs, instead of putting an end to the world tomorrow, alias Lou, ends up helping to eliminate the Higgs in the most adorable way. She is brought back to the other side and it seems that she could be the star of her own death game or perhaps a DLC as a new goalkeeper.

Who was Neil Vana?

Neil Vana was a smuggler who worked in the same way as Sam, but instead of a package of everything, he delivered pregnant women who died of brains whose babies would be sacrificed to the Bridges project and will become BBS.

Its sections of Death Stranding 2 acts in the same way as the scenes featuring Cliff in the first game, in that these are segments that provide a little substance to history while letting players stop thinking about packages and making shooting. During these sections, Neil carries an outfit similar to Solid Snake of the Metal Gear series, one of the many references to the famous Kojima series found throughout the future. Each segment featuring Neil represents a particular very very memory that Sam experiences, unlike the rapid glimpses of the past that Sam obtains each time that he plugs into Lou’s Pod BB.

When Neil was a child, the Mexican city in which he was was flooded with BTS, wreaking havoc. He had met a young girl who helped her, but when she was trapped, he tried to help her, leaving a scar on his hands and hands. Years later, when he looked for a therapist to help him manage his disturbing work, he met Lucy Strand.

Lucy is Bridget Strand’s sister, the president of the United Cities of America, and she was also Sam’s therapist. Lucy and Sam fell in love, and she was pregnant with her child. These efforts have become futile while Neil and Lucy were slaughtered by the bridges guards. Lou was out of Lucy to be used as BB, with his body left on a medical table while waiting for Sam to appear.

While Neil died, he did not go through, becoming a BT. The doctors who were going to examine his body mentioned the need to eliminate the corpse while Neil’s soul, his Ka, had left the body. While a BT would normally go to any nearby person, Neil rather floats towards the corpse of Lucy. Here is when we see Sam presenting himself and breaking down with his dead love and his child who has apparently disappeared. Neil follows Sam, and if it was done on purpose or that it was just the nature of being a BT, Neil comes into contact with Sam, causing a urination and destroying the city. This event led Sam to withdraw from the bridges and develop his aphephosmphobia, the fear of being hit. Neil’s final fight with Sam was enough to finally let his soul be in peace.

What is the mystery of BB-28?

At the beginning of his mission in the first lag of death, Sam met a BB which was supposed to be destroyed. For any reason, he decides against this and faces BB-28 as his. He made a link with the BB, and after a successful mission, he left for Mexico to raise the baby as Lou.

Throughout Death Stranding 2, there is a mystery concerning the origins of the BB-28. What ends up getting out is that BB-28 was not the 28th baby to be used by bridges. It was actually the first, BB-00. However, there had been some secret movements to apparently erase Lou from the system. This led to the storage of Lou for 11 years and taking into account the BB-28 designation. The most likely reason was to hide the details where the baby came and who was the mother. It is also likely that the person who left Lou to be reused was the president, who knew that Lou was Sam’s daughter, and perhaps uniting them when he got out of his retirement.

Who is the president?

At the start of the match, Sam meets the president of the Automated Public Assistance Company or APAC. The company is drawing bridges and SAM’s efforts to connect Australia to the Chiral network. APAC also has APA, a system used throughout the game to improve SAM’s performance and skills.

Towards the end of the game, the president entrusted Sam via a private channel that he believes that there is someone who works against him. He tells Sam not to inform others.

However, it ends that the president was not reliable, and he was not real in the first place. The president, who worked with Sam, is only another robot controlled by an entity called Apas 4000. In the past, there has been a emptying which has killed 4000 people and these souls have somehow converged with the APA system which managed the deliveries. The Apas 4000 then concocted a plan to make humans in souls who would be trapped in the world of the dead. Apas 4000 considers this as the recovery of the world before there is a death interchange, but it would ultimately kill all humans.

What does HIGGS do?

Higgs continues to want to see the world destroyed. He said he was alone for tens of thousands of years on the beach after having had the choice to remain fragile at the end of the first match. Then, Apas 4000 brought him back from the beach to make him oblige Sam to work with drawing bridges and to connect Australia. They even provided him with an army of ghost mech. Higgs, however, had its own plans.

His ultimate plan was to make the last bandage, an event in which everyone would die and humans would go out. This is what Sam prevented in the first game of death, but with tomorrow, Higgs could try again because it is an extinction entity, which is a being that will bring out an extinction event. He finally failed his plan and was killed when Lou, in the form of a giant baby, ate him.
