Three people have been deemed ineligible in Canada in recent years to be senior officials from the Iranian regime, said Federal Border Agency.
Expulsion orders were issued for the three and one was withdrawn from Canada, the Canadian Border Services Agency said on Wednesday.
In 2022, Ottawa said Iran managers – including senior officials from the government and the inadmissible security agency in Canada due to participation in terrorism and human rights violations.
The border agency claims that the designation, which was extended last year, denies a high official of access to the regime in Canada in the first place.
It also allows the agency to take measures to apply immigration against any member of the regime who came to Canada before or after the designation.
Current hostilities between Israel and Iran have attracted more attention The possible activities of the members of the Iranian regime in Canada.
The spokesperson for the border agency Rebecca Purdy said that the agency is working closely with national and international partners by sharing relevant information on border and national security issues.

These efforts include the support of the immigration agency, refugees and citizenship Canada, which makes decisions on requests for citizenship and immigration, including visas, she said.
All Iranian nationals must request a visa to come to Canada and visa candidates are carefully assessed by the immigration department, she added.
The border agency investigates when it becomes aware of a temporary or permanent resident in Canada which can be unacceptable as a senior manager of a designated regime.
If the case is well founded, it is referred to the Immigration and Refugees Council, said Purdy. If the council determines that a person is unacceptable, he issues an order against him and the border agency strives to remove them from Canada.
As of June 6, around 17,800 requests were examined for potential inadmissibility due to possible links with the Iranian regime, while immigration officials had canceled 131 visas and the border agency opened 115 investigations.
Forty-nine of these surveys were concluded by the border agency, which means that the individuals in question were not in Canada or have not proved to be a senior official of the Iranian regime and therefore not inadmissible, said Purdy.
The other cases are subject to current surveys or implementing measures, she said.
The border agency has requested eligibility hearings from the Immigration Council and refugees in the cases of 12 people suspected of being higher members of the Iranian regime.
Eligibility hearings concluded in five of these 12 cases, said Purdy.
Three people received expulsion orders for senior regime officials. Two others have not been found inadmissible, but the border agency calls on the immigration appeal division in both cases.
Six cases are underway and one has been removed by the border agency.
“ACBA works in an operating environment that changes daily and we are ready to meet and adapt to the need,” said Purdy. “To resolve this situation, additional resources have been committed to guarantee the management of safe and secure borders if necessary.”
Public security spokesperson Canada, Noémie Allard, said on Wednesday that the department and its portfolio agencies “continue to monitor the residual impact of the evolutionary situation in the Middle East”.
The organizations responsible for the application of Canada’s laws “remain on alert and work together to ensure the safety of all communities in Canada during this difficult period,” she added.
