“In this particular case, why [Brendan Paul] Perhaps important that it is because he would be one of the people who provided the drugs, “said Becker to Fox News Digital.” Distribution of drugs, giving other people of medication to make them intoxicated and perhaps do more than they would do if they had not been intoxicated – it is a predicate crime.

“In other words, in order to prove this particular charge of racketeering, there must be a number of other crimes they can connect,” said the lawyer. “Whether the coercion of women and / or they indicated how … [Diddy] brought [escorts] In. It is a way of proving a predicate. You must prove two. So another way to prove a predicate crime is to bring the guy who is supposed to be the one who provided P. Diddy and his people [the government is] Go say, the drugs he used [on others.]””

“It is very common, especially in federal cases, that immunity is given to witnesses if they have the information or ideas they need for their case,” said Becker. “Often, people who receive immunity, although they can have crimes they face or confronted, they are generally much less in the hierarchy of crimes.

“These are generally lower crimes in which the government says:” You know what, this information that this particular person has is so important that we are ready to give up everything you have in the section or criminal division here so that we can show you in this more important case. “”

Almost six weeks after the start of the trial, the prosecutors said they would rest their case by Friday. The rapper’s legal team recently declared to judge Arun Subramanian that she would need two to five days to submit her case, a striking contrast with his initial two -week request with witnesses on the stand.

Becker noted that there were a lot of questions if the government “really proved something specific” with the charges that Diddy was confronted.

“Yes, there was domestic violence. Yes, there were … physical relationships and violence, but that reaches the level of what he really accused the federal court? “Said Becker.” I think that at the beginning, there were question points everywhere. However, I think time is going, what is the government doing?

“They simply throw a witness after the witness. Although these individual witnesses have their own story, they form together what they are trying to train, which is this step under P. Diddy, which is here. And these people, each person has a role in what they call the company.”

“In the void, if we came from the first witness or if we had just Jane, who has just testified, people, I think, would be a little confused, like” wait a minute. “Perhaps calling him a bad boyfriend, a bad person, a bad husband, for sure, on the basis of what we see, for example, in the video,” said Becker. “But that reaches the level at which the government must reach for an ultimate verdict of guilt?

“I think that, as I said, at first it was a bit trembling. However, over time, they are able to put their different witnesses and really shape what they are trying to shape, which is essentially, you know, this charge of Rico in the United States.
