Doctor charged with giving Friends star Matthew Perry ketamine agrees to plead guilty

A doctor accused of having given Matthieu Perry Ketamine in the months preceding Friends Star overdose death agreed to plead guilty, the authorities announced on Monday.

Dr. Salvador Plasencia agreed to plead guilty to four Ketamine distribution leaders, federal prosecutors said in a statement. They said the advocacy leads to a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison and that Plascencia should enter the plea in the coming weeks.

Plasencia and a woman accused of being a Ketamine merchant had been the main objectives of the accusation, after three other defendants, another doctor, agreed to plead guilty in exchange for their cooperation.

Plasencia was to start the trial in August.

Perry died on October 28, 2023 at 54.

The actor was found by his assistant in front hidden in his whirlpool, and paramedical paramedics immediately declared him dead.

Ketamine has been listed as the main cause of death, which has been judged by a suspected disloyal game accident, according to a report by a medical examiner.
