Dolly Parton, the Titan of the Music Industry, the Tyco of the Music Industry, the charity, the philosopher, the actress, and probably some kind of charity, never fully conquered with a man -written television tool. Of course, Dolly appeared on television all the time, going back to the “Cas Walker Farm and Home Hour” event in 1956, but she typically performed as a singer or musical performer. Throughout his career, he sang at shows like “Music City, USA”, “Hee Haw” and “Mike Douglas Show”. In 1976, he even hosted his own variety “Dolly!”, Which unfortunately lasted only 26 episodes. It should not be confused with the “Dolly” movie he launched in 1987. Unfortunately, it lasted only 22 episodes. Dolly was in “Hollywood squares”, “Captain Kangaroo” and even the 1983 animated version “Alvin and Chipmunks”. He played himself at the “Designing Women” event in the 1990s. Dolly has always been a stable, dedicated performer and has always been energetic and professional.
It almost seems to be controlled that Dolly was never the star of his own sitcom. Because of his film, music and air TV performances, one might think that sitcom would be the next logical step. Movies like “9-5” “The best little whore room in Texas” and Ultra-South “Steel Magnolias” Proved that he could act, and who wouldn’t want to see Dolly Parton’s funny adventures, even though he played an imaginary version of himself?
As it turns out, he tried. By Lost Media WikiDollyn was supposed to be emphasized in 1994, called “Heaven Betsy”. The information is spotted in the series, and a lot is slaughtered on the Imdb trivia page of the exhibition (ie not fully justified), but it seems that Dolly was to play former Vegas Lounge singer with a death-friendly experience and decides to go back to his small Tennessee home town.
However, the program was never presented. In addition to scarce clips on YouTube, it has apparently disappeared.
