Every Premier League Deal in the 2025/26 Summer Transfer Window

Summary

  • This year’s first transfer window has closed due to the Club World Cup and will reopen on June 16th.
  • Chelsea have spent the most so far, while Bournemouth have received £50m from Real Madrid for Dean Huijsen.
  • Liverpool have replaced Trent Alexander-Arnold with Jeremie Frimpong, while Matheus Cunha’s move to Manchester United is the most expensive deal of the summer so far.

The summer usually only means one thing in football: the transfer window. Whether your team is looking to right the wrongs of the previous campaign or hoping to enter a new era of success, all 20 Premier League clubs will be doing all they can to bolster their sides ahead of the 2025/26 season.

For some, the transfer window comes with an added distraction this year, with Chelsea and Manchester City heading to the United States for FIFA’s revamped Club World Cup.

Arsenal

Total spent: £0

Arsenal are set for a big summer, with Mikel Arteta’s side hoping to end three years of finishing second by finally lifting the Premier League title.

A striker will surely be on the shortlist, but it may be a busy few months for those in N5 as they address a squad ravaged by injuries last term.

Martin Zubimendi is reportedly close to finalising a move from Real Sociedad, though their early activity comes in the form of exits, with Kieran Tierney bidding farewell as he returns to Celtic, while Jorginho has departed as a free agent.

Aston Villa suffered final-day disappointment as their Champions League dream was ended by a defeat at Old Trafford amid some refereeing controversy.

Looking to put that heartbreak behind them as they prepare for the Europa League, Villa are already set to welcome a new arrival in the form of Turkish youngster Yasin Ozcan, whose transfer was sealed in February from Super Lig outfit Kasimpasa.

Elsewhere, backup goalkeeper Robin Olsen is joining Malmo in July, so a new man between the sticks can be expected.

Bournemouth have arguably been involved in the deal of the summer so far, with defender Dean Huijsen moving for big money as he joins Real Madrid.

Brentford missed out on a European place last season, but Thomas Frank’s side continue to impress in the top flight – and a successful summer of rebuilding could be the platform they need to mix it with the continent’s elite.

The Bees have been one of the more active Premier League clubs in this early transfer window period, sealing a goalkeeper swap with the west Londoners pouncing on Liverpool No 2 Caoimhin Kelleher in a seemingly shrewd £18m deal.

The Irishman’s arrival comes as Mark Flekken heads out to join Erik ten Hag at Bayer Leverkusen, which looks to provide Brentford with an impressive and affordable upgrade.

Brentford have also made Michael Kayode’s loan deal from Fiorentina permanent, already bringing their summer spending to over £30m.

As can be expected these days, Chelsea have already splashed the cash ahead of the summer transfer window, with their marquee addition being Liam Delap.

Palmeiras winger Estevao Willian is the latest South American talent to head to west London, while Ecuadorian Kendry Paez will also join now that he has turned 18.

However, Jadon Sancho won’t be re-joining the Blues, with Chelsea paying a penalty fee to Manchester United after turning down their obligation to buy. Back in the Champions League and heading to the Club World Cup, Enzo Maresca’s side have already spent plenty.

It will be a season of immense change on the blue half of Merseyside – and not just on the personnel side of things.

Of course, 2025/26 marks Everton’s first at their new Hill Dickinson Stadium, and with plenty of players already heading out the exit door, we can perhaps expect plenty of new faces for David Moyes’ side.

One familiar face has become their first arrival of the summer, with the Toffees welcoming back Carlos Alcaraz by turning his loan move from Flamengo permanent. Elsewhere, Ashley Young and Abdoulaye Doucoure are among those to head out, while Neal Maupay’s loan to Marseille will become permanent for a small fee.

There isn’t a great deal happening at Fulham at this early stage of the window, with the releases of Carlos Vinicius and Willian the only official activity so far.

But that could point to the level of stability at Craven Cottage, with Marco Silva hoping to build on another solid campaign. Impressing against some of the bigger sides last term, pushing on with some help in the transfer market could yet see the Cottagers aiming for a European place in 2025/26.

With a quiet summer last time around before becoming Premier League champions, we can expect a far busier window for Arne Slot and Liverpool.

Giorgi Mamardashvili’s arrival as a challenger to Allison was confirmed last year, whereas Trent Alexander-Arnold has left early to join Real Madrid at the the Club World Cup for a €10m (£8.4m) fee.

Jeremie Frimpong is so far the headline arrival on Merseyside, with Slot welcoming his compatriot from Bayer Leverkusen for under £30m as a replacement for Alexander-Arnold.

And having already tied Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk to longer deals, you could argue that the Reds have sorted their most important pieces of business.
