The special prosecutor Hank Brennan may have completed the impact of inappropriate text messages that the main homicide detective sent concerning Karen Read A few days before, she is accused of the murder of John O’Keefe – but they are always detrimental to the case of the State and not only because he used a vulgar and obscene language, according to experts.
The texts were a bomb that exploded the first trial when they were read with Michael Proctor on the witness stand, and it ended with a jury in the dead end last year. This time, the prosecutors decided not to call him as a witness, and it was his childhood friend Jonathan Diamandis who – visibly uncomfortable – traveled the jury through the conversation.
But beyond the gross remarks on reading, experts say that fewer explosive messages on Proctor’s first opinions on the survey could be overwhelming.

Lu said the defense team had won land with diamandis on the stand, but with Brennan facing the front text chain, the messages were probably not a significant change in favor of Read.
“Will the jury be really shocked by abusive texts from a police officer investigating a person he thinks is a murderer?” Said read. “I doubt it.”

Massachusetts state police dismissed Proctor in March after an internal investigation noted that he had shared sensitive and confidential information on the case with people outside the police.
Read’s first test revealed inappropriate text messages that the principal investigator sent the The case took place.

Proctor weighed with his own observations of what may have happened to O’Keefe, initially intended to agree with another member of the group group than the Boston police officer may have been beaten to death.

Asked more details, Proctor responded with a message involving a reading, telling her friends: “She hit her with her car.”
“Gotcha,” wrote a friend. “”[O’Keefe] was frozen in the aisle, and she did not see it. “”
“This is another animal that we will not be able to prove,” replied Proctor. “They arrived at home together, argued, she was driving and left.”

Text messages raise the possibility that Proctor has reached a conclusion to the death of O’Keefe before the end of the investigation, according to the defense of the defense of Massachusetts, Grace Edwards. Criminal defense lawyer Mark Bederow also underlined Proctor’s professional inability to determine what – or who – killed O’Keefe, and how the immediate hypothesis could have been prejudicial to the investigation.
“”[Proctor] is not qualified to say: “Bederow told Fox News Digital.” There is an abundance of evidence of the vision and the bias of the Proctor investigation tunnel. “”
While the tone of the texts was changing, Diamandis told the courtroom that he did not want to continue reading messages aloud because they contained “uncomfortable words”, which prompted Brennan to read them and ask Diamandis to confirm that what he read was a precise trigger of the texts on the chain.

The text chain has become obscene to points, especially in mockery read on an alleged medical problem.
Proctor is subject to the confinement of witnesses and refused to comment.

Proctor is on the list of landfill witnesses, but Read’s team has rather called Diamandis, in what Edwards believes to be a risky decision of the defense.
“Brennan has now removed the wind from the defense veils because reading these texts did not have the impact they made during the first trial when Michael Proctor read them himself,” said Edwards.

The choice to call Proctor’s childhood could be considered a safe way for the defense team to drop the bomb text chain without risking a counter-examination by the state.
On the other hand, the defense can now underline the fact that the prosecutors refused to put their principal investigator on the stand of witnesses, said Bederow.
“They will probably pursue an investigation of” missing witness “of the court in which the judge will inform the jurors that they could arouse unfavorable inference against the prosecution for their inability to call Proctor,” he said. “He is practically unknown for the accusation to not call the principal investigator in a murder case, but of course, he is also extreme [the same] case.”
