Fan breaches security to worship Virat Kohli on field at Eden Gardens in IPL 2025 opener

A big Virat Kohli fan breached security to touch the feet of the former Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) captain on the field during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 opener.

The massive security breach happened in the IPL 2025 opener between the Rajat Patidar-led Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and the Ajinkya Rahane-led Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Saturday, March 22.

Virat Kohli fan breaches security in KKR vs RCB clash

Kohli enjoys a massive fan following across the globe, and several times, the fans have tried to breach security to meet him and hug him on the field.

Although they have not been successful every time due to the presence of strong security at the venues, a young fan made a successful attempt at the Eden Gardens.

The incident unfolded when Virat Kohli was batting with Rajat Patidar as the fan suddenly came in running towards Kohli and fell on his feet and then hugged him. Then, the security personnel immediately took the fan away from Kohli.
