“The fact that the flag of the call to paradise is underway on a government building alongside the American flag should be shocking for anyone who does not wish to live in a theocracy,” explains Jon Lewis, researcher on the extremism program of George Washington University. “The contemporary use of the flag of the appeal to paradise is synonymous with Christian nationalism, complete.”
“Those who brought the call to heaven to the sky in Capitol on January 6 did it because they really believed that they had the opportunity to inject Christian fundamentalism into the very foundation of our democracy, and the image of the same flag on the SBA will give them many proofs that they have succeeded,” adds Lewis.
Other Republicans have already shared their support for Flag To Heaven. House speaker Mike Johnson displayed the flag outside of his office, and the flag was controversial outside the associated judge of the Supreme Court Samuel Alito Holiday house in New Jersey.
