France bans smoking in parks, beaches and bus stops

France had a hard time kicking its habit of smoking. A new public health decree published on Saturday aims to change this. In the coming days, smoking will be prohibited in all French parks and sports sites, on beaches and bus stops, within a perimeter around all schools, and wherever children could come together in public.
