Google adds a multitude of AI features to its focused productivity Chromebook Plus Line of devices, including a screen selection tool for research and text capture, a tool that explains the complex text and notebooklm.
The new screen selection tool works similarly to Google Lens And the “Circle to Search” function in Chrome on smartphones: Press the launcher button in the long term or use the screenshot tool to select what is on your screen, and Google will instantly look for it. The tool also allows you to select text and quickly add an event to the calendar.
Last year, Google added a new “Quick insert” key To some Chromebook Plus models that allow you to trigger shortcuts. Users can now access the GOOGLE AI Image generation features with this key, as well as writing tools fueled by AI.
In the meantime, the new “simplify” feature allows you to use AI to explain, simplify or summarize any text that you have selected.
Google also gives all new Chromebook users plus a year in Google AI Pro, which includes access to the Gemini application; Video editing tool flow; Video image creation tool; Gemini in Gmail, Docs and Chrome; and 2 TB of storage. The AI pro plan is otherwise $ 240 per year.
In addition to these features, Google launches two exclusive AI features for the new Lenovo Plus Chromebook Plus 14: AI is used to recommend the organization of tabs and documents, while the second allows users to modify the images using the gallery application to delete backgrounds or make stickers.
The new Lenovo Chromebook is delivered with an OLED touch screen and works on a Mediatek Kompanio Ultra -based chip. It is available in variants of 12 GB and 16 GB of RAM, costing $ 649 and $ 749, respectively.
